K-W Kiwanians passionately pursue community service projects and engage in fundraising for worthy causes in our community. Projects that benefit kids are a particular focus. On the pages of the What We Do drop-down menu you will find descriptions of our current activities, which include running the K-W Kiwanis Music Festival, the Music Festival Bursary Program, Scholarships for college-bound students, managing two affordable housing projects in the Waterloo region, sponsoring the Wonders of Winter (annual Festival of Lights) in Waterloo Park, running CashCalendar and Bingo fundraisers, and volunteering at the Food Bank, Food4Kids, Meals on Wheels and Christmas Kettles. We also have service leadership training clubs and camps for high school level students (see Leadership Clubs under What We Do).
