Regular meetings of the K-W Kiwanis Club are held on the third Tuesday of every month. Members, guests, and the general public are welcome to attend. These meetings provide for transaction of business and we socialize, have dinner (available for a fee) and enjoy an outside speaker.
The October speaker has been postponed to February because Pack Night at Food4Kids served as our club meeting. Our February speaker will be Danielle Beck. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Performance and a Master of Arts in Community Music. She has spent the past 25 years building a career as a performer, clinician, accompanist and private instructor for woodwinds, piano and music theory. She currently teaches at the Laurier Academy of Music & Arts. Starting in 2022, she became the Coordinator for the KW Kiwanis Music Festival, and founded the Kiwanis Music Education Fund, a bursary program helping those who can’t afford music lessons. She will describe the history and status of these initiatives.
