K-W Kiwanis sponsors two clubs that promote the development of leadership in young members. Our Key Club and Circle K Club are active groups of high school and university level students respectively who run their own service programs under guidance from approved Kiwanis advisors. The students are members of Kiwanis International and run fundraisers for their club, participate in the Wonders of Winter spectacle in Waterloo, undertake environmental cleanup initiatives, support charitable organizations and generally have a great time stepping up to serve their community while honing their leadership skills.
Key Club members meet Member of Parliament Mike Morrice (Nov. 2023)
The Waterloo Circle K club was re-chartered in March 2024. Former Key Club members and current UW students Cesar Arriojas and Shradhaa Srikanth stepped up to make the proposal for resumption of Circle K activities at the District Conference in Sarnia.
